Welcome to Claudia Pastry!
My name is Claudia, and my passion for baking is inspired by the beautiful places and experiences that have shaped my life.
One of the most meaningful places for me is Macau, where I grew up after moving there with my family at the age of 7. It became my second home and left a deep and lasting impression on me.
Macau is truly special — a small but vibrant city on the southern coast of China that was once a Portuguese colony for over 400 years. This unique history created a fascinating blend of East and West. European and Chinese cultures come together in every corner — from cobblestone streets and stunning architecture to diverse food traditions. Walking through Macau, you’ll find temples beside churches, Chinese bakeries next to Portuguese cafes. It’s a place where harmony and flavor meet, and this spirit has always inspired me.
After many years working in other fields, I returned to my true passion — baking. Today, I run Claudia Pastry, a home bakery where each treat is carefully handcrafted. My menu features macarons, Taiwanese pineapple cakes, nougat with dried fruits and nuts, cookies, and chocolate-dipped orange slices — all made in small batches with high-quality ingredients and traditional methods.
You can find me sharing my creations at local farmers markets, such as the Apex Farmers Market and The Raleigh Market. Each product reflects my journey — from growing up in Macau and falling in love with its flavors, to building my bakery today while also working as an Uber driver to support my dream.
Looking ahead, I am planning to upgrade my kitchen so I can expand my menu and bring you even more special treats. I’m excited to introduce new desserts like Portuguese egg tarts, caramel crème brûlée cheesecake, blueberry panna cotta, and strawberry panna cotta — each thoughtfully crafted to continue sharing the joy of sweet, memorable moments.
